Review
"In the same genre [as Putnam's 'O God of Peace'], is Spencer Schuldt's psalm setting 'O Send Out Thy Light.' This is a gorgeous little piece that is totally satisfying to hear, to pray, and to sing. I would be tempted not to take the da capo, but I wouldn't want to make that decision until I had lived with the piece for many weeks." --AAM Journal, September 2002

Description
A remarkable unaccompanied setting of Psalm 43:3, 4. Using the simplest of means, the composer has crafted a work of considerable beauty and power. The vocal parts are easy and natural, making the divisi passages manageable even by small choirs. Very effective.

Text
O send out thy light and thy truth,
let them lead me;
let them bring me unto thy holy hill,
and to thy tabernacles.
Then will I go unto the altar of God,
unto God my exceeding joy:
yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God;
O God my God, yea, thee will I praise, Amen.

-Psalm 43:3-4
