Jack Warren Burnam

Jack Warren Burnam resides in Wilmington, Delaware, where he has pursued an active career as a choral conductor, teacher, organist, accompanist and composer for over 50 years. A number of his compositions and arrangements appear in the Hymnal 1982, the supplemental hymnal Wonder, Love and Praise, and several other hymnals and supplements.

Jack recently retired as Choirmaster and Organist of Immanuel Church on the Green in New Castle, Delaware. Previous positions in which he served, all in the Wilmington area, include Choirmaster and Organist of Immanuel Church, Highlands; Music Director and Organist of Congregation Beth Emeth; Director of Choral Activities at Tower Hill School; and Artistic Director and Conductor of the chamber chorus CoroAllegro.

Jack holds degrees in sacred music from Houghton College (NY) and Catholic University of America. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists, and holds the AGO Associate and Choirmaster certificates. He is also an active member and past president of the Association of Anglican Musicians.
