Thomas Foster

Thomas Foster retired in June 2003 as Director of Music at All Saints' Church in Beverly Hills, Calif. Prior to this position, Foster, a highly respected organist, choral conductor, composer, teacher, and workshop leader, served Calvary Church, Williamsville, N.Y., and St. John's Cathedral, Jacksonville, Fla. He is a member of the commission on Liturgy and Church Music of the Diocese of Los Angeles. He was general coordinator of music for the 1985 General Convention of the Episcopal Church and he is a past-president of the Association of Anglican Musicians. In 1995 Selah published his soprano descants, Sing Alleluia!
Foster was born in Durham, N.C. in 1938. He received a B.M. from Syracuse University and a M.M. from the New England Conservatory.
