Jack Warren Burnam

Jack Warren Burnam resides in Wilmington, Delaware, where he pursues an active professional career as a choral conductor, teacher, organist, accompanist and composer. He is Choirmaster, Organist and Associate for Liturgy at Immanuel Episcopal Church, Highlands in Wilmington, Delaware since 1975. His compositions and arrangements for choirs and congregation are regularly heard there, and several of his settings have been published in the Hymnal 1982, the supplemental hymnal Wonder, Love and Praise, and a number of other hymnals and hymnal supplements. Jack is Music Director of the highly regarded Delaware chamber chorus CoroAllegro; and, since 1992, Director of Middle and Upper School choral programs at Tower Hill School in Wilmington. Prior to 1992 he was Organist and Director of Music at Congregation Beth Emeth in Wilmington for 18 years.

Jack holds degrees in sacred music from Houghton College (N.Y.) and Catholic University of America. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists, and holds the AGO certificates of Associate and Choirmaster. He is also an active member of the Association of Anglican Musicians, and has served that organization as Regional Coordinator and as Secretary.
